All players entering a new league, i.e. 9/10, or 11/12 year-old, will enter a draft to determine team placement. Existing players in the program will be ranked by his/her previous manager or evaluation to be placed in the draft. New players and 9 year-olds will be placed in the draft based on his/her total score from the evaluations. 7/8 year-old teams are drafted by the President following evaluations.
If a League is Increasing the Number of Teams From the Previous Season:
- Previous manager will rank players retained
- All previous players will be placed in a pool
- Each returning team may claim 2 players (including manager’s child) from last season’s roster prior to draft
- The new teams will draft until all teams have 2 players of the older age group (either from the existing players or the new players)
- Team names will be drawn to resume the draft, which will be used for the remainder of the draft
- Each round will start from the top
New Addition for 11/12 Year-Old League for Spring/Summer 2026:
- If a team decides to use their two allotted claims and sponsor pick on additional 12 year-olds, they will drop a round for each 12 year-old claimed during the 11 year-old draft
- i.e. Limbach picks two 12 year-olds from current roster
- Limbach uses their two player claims on two additional 12 year-olds
- During the 11 year-old draft, Limbach will not have a pick until the third round
- If they use their two allotted claims and sponsor pick on 11 year-olds, they will enter the 11 year-old draft in the respective round based on the number of 11 year-olds claimed
If a League is Decreasing the Number of Teams From the Previous Season:
- Team(s) that will be removed will be the team(s) with the least amount of respective league seniority and/or the team(s) with the least number of players returning
- Once a player is placed on a Spring/Summer team, they are not permitted to move to another team, except:
- Permission granted by the President
- A player's parent/guardian becomes the manger of another team
- Returning teams will retain their previous players
- Players from dissolved teams will be distributed by the discretion of the league
If a League Remains the Same as the Previous Season:
- Each team will be allowed to claim 2 new players
- Exceptions:
- Draft order will be previous season standings (worst to best)
- Once a player is placed on a Spring/Summer team, he/she is not permitted to move to another team, except:
- Permission granted by the President
- A player's parent/guardian becomes the manger of another team
Claiming Players:
- A manager can claim up to two players per team, including his/her child.
- A claim form must be completed online, electronically signed, and submitted to the President no later than 72 hours before the draft
- Claims that are submitted after that deadline are not guaranteed
- Sponsor Pick:
- A sponsor pick is ONLY for a child or grandchild of a family-owned business. It cannot be used for anyone else
- Only one sponsor selection is allowed per team
- Brother/Sister:
- A sibling will be automatically added to the respective team’s roster of his/her sibling
- Any player claimed will be the team’s selection in the next round, regardless of player’s ranking
- Once a player is placed on a Spring/Summer team, he/she is not permitted to move to another team, except:
- Permission granted by the President
- A player's parent/guardian becomes the manger of another team
