GAME SUMMARY Wisconsin District 6 Little League Tournament July 1 FRANK HARTNELL: Defeated Oak Creek American 7-3. Andrew Luscomb dominated the game with his pitching performance. He allowed two unearned runs in 5 innings while striking out twelve and allowing only one hit. He also led the offense going 3 for 4 with two triples and a double. Brandon Robinson led off the second with a walk, advanced to third on a stolen base and wild pitch. He then scored on Willie Buege single. Kenosha made it 3-0 in the third as Vinnie Cullotta led off with a walk and scored on the Luscomb's triple. Andrew then scored on a wild pitch. In the fifth two more runs scored as J.J. Booth reached on an error and scored on Luscomb's second triple. He scored again on a wild pitch. In the sixth, Frank Cushman led off with a walk. Tommy Edwards was hit by a pitch and with two outs Booth doubled them home. They advanced to play Lakeland Little League on Thursday, July 3rd at 6PM at South Milwaukee. STEVE JACOBS: They lost to South Milwaukee 14-3 and will play Greenfield American July 3rd at 6PM at Brighton Dale. The offense was led by Austin Shore who had a double and an rbi. Aaron Bakkila, Luke Zuehlsdorf, Cam Gorman, and RJ Dzierzanoski all had singles. July 2 ROGER VINCENT, JR. In a rain shorten game (41/2 innings) they defeated Felix Mantilla 8-2. Michael Roach pitched and limited them to two hits while striking out nine. Offensively, lead off hitter, Jared Nichols, reached base and scored all four times with two walks a double and single. Nick Perri had two singles, walk and rbi. Roach also had two run rbi single in the first. Tyler Bostrum had a single and a double. Luke Wolchuck also had an rbi single. They will play on Tuesday, July 8th at 6PM at South Milwaukee. July 3 Frank Hartnell The game was rained out on July 2nd. They advanced in the District 6 tournament winners b racket with a 11-7 victory over Lakeland Little League. Kenosha scored 10 runs in the first inning. J.J Booth led off with a double, Willie Buege reached on an error, Andrew Luscomb singled, and Andrew Ward cleared the bases with a triple. Brandon Robinson drove in Ward with a single up the middle. Brett Bernhardt singled driving in another run. After two walks, Luscomb singled for his second hit of the inning. Ward then doubled, collecting his fourth and fifth rbi's of the inning. Luscomb had a perfect night at the plate going 4-4, Ward finished 3-4. Lakeland came back in their half of the inning when Zach Dodge launched a three run homer. Lakeland continued to chip away at the lead scoring twice in both the 3rd and 4th innings. Kenosha's Starting pitcher, Anthony Elsen, worked his way out of the third with a strikeout and closed out the fourth inning with a ground ball out to second baseman Tanner Larson. Ward relieved Elsen in the fifth retiring five of the seven batters he faced with strikeouts. Steve Jacobs The Steve Jacobs Division rebounded with a 12-5 win over Burlington GB to stay alive in the losers bracket. Their offense exploded for ten hits, six for extra bases. In the second inning they scored three runs. RJ Dzierzanowski and Aaron Bakkila walked Zach Dutter followed with a single and Luke Zuehlsdorf doubled. Walks to Dzierzanowski, Dutter, and Cam Gorman along with a single by Bakkila and a double by Carl Anderson produced three more runs in the fourth inning. Gorman's out of the park home run resulted in three more runs in the fifth inning. Gorman's two out blast was preceded by Dzierzanowski's double and Bakkila's single. Anderson, Bakkila, and Dutter finished the night with two hits apiece. Pitcher Kevin Snowden limited Burlington to 4 runs in 2.1 innings, giving up only three hits while striking out three. Dutter came in relieve with two runners on and one out, striking out the next two batters. Dutter allowed one unearned run in 3.2 innings. He allowed one hit, walked one, and struck out seven. July 8 Steve Jacobs; Cam Gorman's pitching dominated the Felix Mantilla team in their 9-0 victory. He limited them to 5 hits, 1 walk, & 8 strikeouts while retiring the final 10 batters. The offense exploded for 10 hits. Luke Zuehlsdorf led the offense with three hits and 2 rbi's. Carl Anderson also had two hits and 2 rbi's. Other contributors with one hit were; Aaron Bakkila, Zach Dutter, Gorman, Kevin Snowden, & R.J. Dzierzanowski. July 9 Steve Jacobs: Franklin National eliminated them from the tournament with a 7-4 win. Steve Jacobs offense pounded out ten hits but couldn't keep Franklin off the bases. Cam Gorman led the offense with two hits, including a double and rbi. Zach Dutter also contributed with two singles and rbi. Luke Zuehlsdorf had a towering home run. Aaron Bakkila, Kevin Snowden, Carl Anderson, Jacob Hansen (double), & Steven Melotik also had hits. They finished the tournament 2-2. Roger Vincent, Jr. Oak Creek National defeated them 15-4 knocking them from the winners bracket. Leading the offense for Roger Vincent was Nick Perri with three hits, including a double. Nick Santelli and Tyler Bostrum each had two singles. Jared Nichols also had a single. Frank Hartnell South Milwaukee defeated Frank Hartnell 5-4 in extra innings placing them into the losers bracket. Andrew Luscomb pitched 4.1/3 innings allowing one run, three hits, and striking out nine be fore he reached the maximum pitch count of 85. Frank Hartnell scored two runs in each of the first two innings. J.J. booth led off with a walk, Brandon Robinson followed with a single. Booth scored on a wild pitch and Luscomb singled Robinson home. In the second, Vinnie Cullotta reached on an error. Anthony Elsen walked. Tanner Larson followed with a single. After the second inning South Milwaukee pitchers limited Frank Hartnell team to three singles; one by Luscomb, Robinson, & Elsen. July 10 Not a very good day for either of the two remaining Kenosha teams. Roger Vincent, Jr. They were eliminated by Franklin American 11-0. Franklin limited them to one hit, a single by Kyle Kluver. Roger Vincent, Jr. Division team finished the tournament 2-2. Frank Hartnell Franklin National defeated Frank Hartnell 13-3, eliminating them from the tournament. The team was held to three singles by Andrew Ward, Tanner Larson, & Frank Cushman. Frank Hartnell Division team finished the tournament 2-2. TOURNAMENT SUMMARY; The three teams compiled a combined 5 & 6 record. The players were able to compete against other Little League teams in a very competitive manner and on different playing fields. We hope the experience they received was gratifying for each and everyone of them. A special thank you to the manager and coaches for the time, commitment, and dedication they provided.
