American League; Game 1 vs Burlington Burlington led 11-2, but Kenosha chipped away at the lead and tied in the bottom of the sixth. However, Burlington pushed across a run in extra innings to win 13-12. Offensive players were; Andrew Freiberg, Arman Contreras, & Dominic Gianini. Defensive players; Rece Myer, Jack Jensen, Brandon Milligan, & Freiberg. Freiberg & Nathan Renner starred on the mound to help keep Burlington in check. Game 2 vs Greenfield Kenosha American defeated Greenfield 8-4. Mitchell Buban, Jack Jensen, & Arman Contreras starred on the mound. Hitting leaders were; Brandon Milligan, 3 rbi's, Terry Behnke, 2 rbi's, Jensen, & Contreras, Dominic Gianini, 1 rbi. DeAndre Johns tripled to start the second inning rally. Defensive highlights; Gianini threw a runner out at home plate from right field, Behnke chased a runner down between home and third. Nathan Renner had three assists at second base. Game 3 vs Franklin American A shaky first inning gave Franklin an early 9-1 lead which could not be overcome as Kenosha American was eliminated from the tournament. After the first inning the team settled down and out played Franklin. Offensively there were plenty of opportunities but they could not connect on the big play. Kenosha left twelve runners on base.Hitting leaders were; Dominic Gianini 3 hits with a double, Evan Kresse, 2 hits, 2 doubles. Others contributing with one hit where; Andrew Frieberg, Nathan Renner, DeAndre Johns, Brandon Milligan, & Jack Jensen. The final score was 12-7.
